:confused: i arrived in the us june 2004 and started working aug 2004... my husband is a lawful permanent resident and he didn't have a job last year... we would like to file together/joint... which federal form should i use? which tax form should i use?

A standard form 1040. However, it isn't that simple. Go see a tax professional, as per my advice to the poster in the thread about an American married to a Canadian.

To try and do this on your own would be a grievous mistake.
