i lost $6100 on a 401 mutual fund. i understand i can't take this as a loss to use against capital gains or any way else?. is this true?. just gone not forgotten. Thanks.

first, i'm assuming you mean a 401(k) retirement plan. it this is the case, you have been told correctly, no loss deduction is available.

I don't like the club, i got clubbed, my broker negleted to inform me on this , plus the time limit on the mutual fund. Thanks for reply!.
