I live in North Carolina, there has been a garnishment on my check from California and Oregon for a child that was conceived and born while I was incarcerated in San Quentin Correctional Facility. I need this rectofied ASAP. I only make $7.00 per hour now and they are garnishing 49% of my check and it is not enough to pay my rent. On top of that I know that I did not have a child with the woman.

Did you dispute paternity and demand a DNA test when notified of the paternity claim? What action did you take to dispute paternity at the time?
