I live in Georgia and I would like to give my 1996 Taurus to my father who lives in Virginia. Kelly Blue Book Private Seller value on the vehicle is $1550. Are either of us responsible for paying any sales tax or income tax when I transfer the title to him?

no income tax on the transfer to either party. can't answer sales tax though here in MD i don't believe sales tax applies to transfers (of cars) to family. maybe go to GA's website or DMV site & do a search. it's a common issue that i'll bet is addressed in a Q&A section.
