What is the name of your state? Florida

We have a swing set in our back yard. Appearently it does not comply with the 30 yr. old bylaws. They want us to rip it down, although there is no place for small kids to play anywhere in the community. Is there anything we can do?
Also there are many other buildings and structures in other back yards that seem ok??!!

Swingset ****s

Read the by laws and see if their just picking on you or if they are correct.I cant imagine a swingset causing problemos especially in the back yard.

Swing set

We don't even have all the bylaws, they are bigger than the bible. But in their nasy letter it said:" no buildings or structures other than one single family dwelling".
We kind of looked at the other swingset before we got ours.

Swing set

would attaching it to the house not be an extension of the house, than I would have to get all kinds of permits, no?

did you submit to the BOD prior to getting this swingset 99% of the time you must get approval prior to putting up something like this, you said their are other buildings/structors any othe swingsets? By the way you can't attach the swingset to your home to get around this. Honestly depending on what the CC&R's say you really do have to take it down if they tell you to. We need to know what the by laws read you will be able to request a copy.
