What is the name of your state? Tennessee
In 1996 I plead guilty in 1996 to one count of failure to file federal tax return. At that time restitution was ordered. Since then I have become disabled and can no longer work. My only source of income is a small disabilty benefit from a private policy and a pending application for Social Security disability benefits.

Can my disability benefits be attached because of the restitution?

Thanks,

Charles

That really is a question that should be posted on the tax forum as it is not isnurance related. However, I am not sure what the Social Security folks will do with your SSD or SSI money or if a lien has been filed.
