What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? texas

I was drunk and dancing it off at a friends' party when I decided to grab some cd's from my car, which was parked down the street from the apartment complex. as i walked down the sidewalk i passed a couple of loud, drunk guys but didn't make much of it. i reached my car, opened the door, and was leaning across to the passenger floor with one leg hanging out when suddenly i get pulled on from behind and thrown down to the ground, the guy behind me swings around into the drivers seat and kicks me against the door. after the initial surprise, i struggled to get up and started trying to wrestle him out and stop him from opening the passenger door to his friend, standing there half laughing and half egging him on. after a few short but intense minutes the police arrive, and we both scramble to our feet. i try to tell them what just happened while the others say i drove by, insulted them, and then pulled over and started a fight. they ignore the three of us and lock the car, yelling for me to get in the squad car while the other two are escorted to their house which is on the same block. i was taken down to county jail without a word about an arrest or a response to my pleas that i could go back to my friends apartment and didn't intend to drive. after the ride in a squad car i was pretty much sober and was asking polite, insistent questions to no avail. after five hours in the drunk tank i was released upon signing that i would appear in court next week to face the charge of public intoxication. the police officers at no point advised me that i was under arrest nor did they explain why i was being held other than i better get in the car. i'm afraid they can make it look similar to a dui since i have no idea what is in the police report.

My response:

Thank you for that wonderful, gripping, edge-of-my-seat story!!

Drunks have a lot of fun, don't they?
