In the past year, our next door neighbor has developed Alzeihmers and has been wandering constantly. We were recently told she's been seen walking into our front yard which is only a problem if she finds her way into our back yard where there is a pool. Aside from closing the gates, how do we protect her and us from any possible situations. Our back yards are bordered by stone walls, easy to climb. So far she has no medical attention, because her husband cannot afford it. In fact, the house and the property are in her name, which could be a huge problem unto itself.

I'm not an attorney, but I work as a consultant to nursing homes. If you don't know the relatives, call your area Adult Protective Services or a local nursing home.
