What is the name of your state?I bought my brand new Texas home 3 years ago for 122K. The tax appraisal has declined every year, now at 103K. Many houses are for sale, but I don't think the neighborhood or city has declined enough to account for a 15% decrease. The only influence I can think of is that the Municipal Utility District is currently replacing water lines running to all of the houses in the development. The alloy of the original pipes was degrading and leaking. My questions are:
1. How can i find out if this is why my property value has decreased?
2. If this is the cause of the decrease, is there legal action I can take to reclaim some/all of the loss?
