What is the name of your state? Washington

Alright here comes a story:
I live in washington | work in portland Oregon
I am 17 , turn 18 in July
Ok so basically me and two guys are being accused of stealing about 10k in equipment from where i used to work in portland, now from inside sources i am aware that the management of the place "knows" i was involved. However i have yet to be contacted and it has been about three weeks since the alledged incident.

One of the guys involved had police come to his house to see if he had laptops in his car, probably had a search warrent, the guy was not home, this was 3 weeks ago and he has yet to be contacted again, that same day he called the detective back and left message saying he was ready to be searched

Another Guy involved just had the management of the place call him (he was a former employee so they knew his number) the manager claimed that he should give back the merchandise, he is on film walking around with one of the items in store

I have yet to be contacted however, an inside source says they beleive i was invoved, now it sounds to me - there has been no police events since they were first involved maybe 2 days after incident, they have yet to contact any of us, is the company grasping at straws here, trying to scare or are the police on thier way or what. Will we be taken to court, what is best deffense approach, the ignorant approach *because i know they have nothing conclusive on camera, nothing more than maybe me and somone else walking around with them in store which is not unheard of from an employee, or the Dear god we are sorry approach, here is merchandise back spare mercy

You need a lawyer and very soon.....

Standard answer

Here are some hints on appearing in court:

Dress professionally in clean clothes.

Do not wear message shirts.

Don't chew gum, smoke, or eat.

Bathe and wash your hair.

Go to court beforehand some day before you actually have to go to watch how things go.

Speak politely and deferentially. If you argue or dispute something, do it professionally and without emotion.

Ask the court clerk who you talk to about a diversion (meaning you want to plead to a different, lesser charge), if applicable in your situation. Ask about traffic school and the ticket not go on your record, if applicable.

Here are five stories that criminal court judges hear the most (and I suggest you do not use them or variations of them):

1. I’ve been saved! (This is not religion specific; folks from all kinds of religious backgrounds use this one.)

2. My girlfriend/mother/sister/daughter is pregnant/sick/dying/dead/crippled and needs my help.

3. I’ve got a job in [name a state five hundred miles away].

4. This is the first time I ever did this.

5. You’ve got the wrong guy. (A variation of this one is the phantom defendant story: “It wasn’t me driving, it was a hitchhiker I picked up. He wrecked the car, drug me behind the wheel then took off.”)

Consider it stolen....
You'll note that half of it appears to have been "stolen" from your list. :D

The amazing thing is that as obvious as some of them are, they still need to be said.

Yes, some of the things sound pretty similar.

That proves that people in the court system act pretty much the same everywhere!

ok then i shall awnser one of my own questions and ask another one
1. I am pretty much screwed I figure, today the found the merchandise at the location X due to a friend that broke.
2. I plan on confessing to everything as the evidence is now overwhelming against me
Question Time:

What am I looking at as a 17 year old charged with what I beleive is a Class c felony since it is about 7-9 thousand

Will I be tried as adult or juvenile as a 17 year old?

Will I be tried and go to jail in Oregon or Washington, I commit crime in Oregon so i assume there but validation would be nice.

What is probable amount of time and or communtity service I will serve?

Any other information or advice is greatly appreciated

I see the severity of what I have done, absolutly mind numbingly stupid, I have a great gpa in highschool, and had a decent looking future ahead of me until this came up, I fear I have just ruined my life in less than a month, Please assist me.

Unfortunately, no one can answer much for you. Best bet is to be honest and straighten your life up now while you are still young. Accept responsibility for your actions, and the punishment as well, and LEARN from the experience.
Good luck.
