What is the name of your state? North Carolina
Please tell me what to do. A money order was given as payment of rent but was submitted blank. The stub of the money order was stamped with the company stamp that simply states the company name and address and retained by the payee. The money order was then filled out in someone's name and deposited into their bank account. The payment of rent was never posted to the account. Can anything be done since the money order was blank??? or does the fact that the payee has the stub matter? The money order was traced and we know who cashed it but wonder if because we submitted it blank, if anything can be done by us or the management company. Please reply.
