What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Oklahoma

I'm 21 years old. I have been prescribed to Aderral for several years and was diagnosed with ADD as a child. I was planning on leaving my pediatrician permanently and started going to another doctor, but I also went to my pediatritian. "Doctor 1," my pediatrician, prescribed me to 20mg Aderral for ADD, and my new doctor, "Doctor 2," also prescribed me to 30mg Aderral, telling me I had to cancel the prescription from Doctor 1 for legal purposes. This was stupid, but finals were approaching and I was taking more than usual, so I continued to get Doctor 1's prescription filled as well as that of Doctor 2's (March to now)...Today I went to get Doctor 2's prescription filled and the clerk checked up my record I guess, then came back and said that basically they new I was getting 2 prescriptions filled for the same thing, twice a month. They said Doctor 2 wouldn't see me anymore and that the authorities might be contacted over the matter. So my questions are: 1. What are the legal repercussions of this?/How scared should I be? 2. Will my insurance be revoked? 3. Will I be able to ever get prescribed to Aderral again? Thank you!

1. You could go to jail/Very
2. Unsure, not likely, but it can happen.
3. If you find a provider willing to prescribe it to you.

You have violated the Substance Control Act, and have done what is called "Doctor Shopping".

Both are serioous, and show you have a problem. Adderall is a Schedule II Controlled substance, and is highly watched by the FDA, especially since Canada pulled it from the market due to possible SUD (sudden unexplained death).

You need to get help ASAP. You need tx by a licensed addiction specialist.
This is a serious situation, and I hope you recognize that.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I've been thinking that this was something I needed to stop and I do recognize that Aderral has bad side effects and is very addictive. Should I expect the DEA to show up or is there anything I can do to speed up this whole inevitable process? I'm contemplating calling someone but I don't know who to call, or if there is anything I can do but wait.

At this moment you need to focus on getting into tx with an addiction specialist.

I do not know what it is called in your state, but it is very possible that someone from the Oklahoma Drug Enforcement Agency (or whatever they call it) or the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Board ( or whatever they call it) may come knocking. Their job is to investigate people abusing medications that are controlled. There is nothing you can do about that. If it happens, be honest and get a lawyer.

In the meantime, seek help.
Good luck.

Also, you should be open with your next prescriber and hopefully they will go a non-stimulant route, such as Stratterra....
