What is the name of your state? Illinois

Is it illegal for 2 consenting adults to email sexually explicit pictures of themselves back and forth? Aside from being obviously embarrassing and silly, could there be legal trouble of some kind? Both parties were well over 18 years old at the time.

Unless the acts involve children or the photos are being presented to children.

Who would be responsible if these pictures were to be viewed by a minor? The person who sent them to an adult, or the adult who received them, thereby allowing access by a minor?
