What is the name of your state?ca

I have a friend who owns a liquor store and cashed a 2party chk for a couple but when he deposited checks in the account they came back as closed;

He has contacted the couple about repayment and they have ignored him even threatning to file harassment charges;

What legal recourse does he have for repayment??

Take your check to the bad check office of the prosecuting attorney in the county where the check was passed.
