What is the name of your state? South Carolina

Does anyone know if there is a law in South Carolina, that entitles an executor of an estate, a 5% fee (5% of the total estate value) for doing the work ?

Check with the clerk of the probate court; last I knew, South Carolina allowed "reasonable fees". That may have changed. 5% of the total estate value seems awfully low to me, so it may not be considered "reasonable".
