My friend is charged with aggravated assault. The alleged victim is his out od control 13 year old daughter which he loves very much. Details: Durring an episode of anger and violence that the 13 year old was expressing Philip her father attempted to dicipline the childs behavior by sending her to her room. Of course she refused and became aggressive and violent toward him. A struggle began in which the daughter wwas wildly throwing kicks and punches at her father. His total body weight is 135 lbs. Her body weght is about 110 lbs. As he attempted to grab her shoulders and diffuse the situation the girl slipped away from his grasp and began to run away from him. He held onto her by her arms but lost his grip on her and she got away. While this took place the girl received one very small scratch under her left ear and he received scratches and blows to the head and kicks to his groin., Not a pretty picture. The police arrive and the daughter speaks to one officer and the dad speaks to the other. There is also never been any prior history of this kind prior to this on his record. He truly loves his daughter and would never willfuly or deliberately hurt her in any way. He is being charged with aggravated assault on his daughter that received a suppoena to testify against him in court. He has been ordered to not make any contact with his family or reside there any longer. The original charge the police entered on him was child abuse and then changed it to aggravated assault. I need to know what the exact definition to the charge aggravated assault is and how it reads in the law definition.

It reads, that if found guilty of abuse to this girl,..................He should wave good-bye.

His parenting skills suck.
