What is the name of your state? Washington

I have purchased some computers for myself and friends. We play games together at a place I lease in town. I'd like to charge fees to cover expenses, but I don't want a business. I don't want the compexities of business, the fees and other costs (b&o tax for instance) just add to much..

It's expensive to run, and I just want to cover the cost of power, the computer, and the lease.. I don't want any money. I want to keep things "Simple".

Is it possible to run a club in this fasion without forming a non-profit *corporation? If so, where would I get more information?

Thank you

* I contacted the state and they said a non-profit is the way I'd have to go, but I don't want to take that as an end all as it's expensive to keep the records required for a corporation. (the cost of hiring a bookkeeping, accountant, etc... is mind boggling to me)
