What is the name of your state? The property is located in Maine.
If A & B have a deed on a piece of property and A decides to split her 1/2 with her brother and sister making the deed read something like this: B owns 1/2 and A, C & D own 1/6th of the property. A divorces from B but B will not remove himself from said property and later on A passes away. The property is now owned by B, C & D is it not? Well B thinks he owns it all now.
Can anybody explain Rights of Survivorship? B has a letter from a lawyer stating he now owns the whole property. This cant be true can it? It does not go back to the origional deed written years ago, does it?
