1) Stepdaughter's dad lives with his mom
2) Mom dies while he resides with her
3) There is an estate: Farm to be divided into 10 lots, 1 to each of the 9 children, the final one, with house on it, to be sold and proceeds divided equally among the 9
4) Step Daughter moves in with dad, who is in the process of purchasing home from the estate
5) Dad goes to jail
6) Since dad is no longer able to purchase because he's not able to secure a mortgage from jail, the uncle (Executor) sells the house, and tells step daughter the house has been sold and she has an hour to get out.
7) Locks changed, and her stuff is inside.
8) No written notice is given
9) Grandma died 14 months ago

David J Miller is correct. The lockout eviction is illegal. The Executor must give proper written notice.
