What is the name of your state?I live in Connecticut & have a question about quit claim deeds. My husband bought the house we live in 10 years ago w/his ex-wife. She quit claimed the house to him, and he & I got married in 1995. In late Summer 2002, he & I did a quit claim deed w/right of survivorship to me in the event he passes away, so our daughter and I could keep the house. Does this quit-claim deed make me an actual "owner" of the house currently, or only in the event that my husband were to pass away? I am not on the mortgage...that is in his name only.

Thanks :)
