I live in a trailer park in Lapaz Indiana,
our landlords recently posted the following
notice: "Due to all the recent reports of
vandellism,we are going to inforce a 10:00pm
curfew.ALL children 18 and under must be in
their homes when the security lights come on
(5:45pm). If found in violation, tickets will
be issued and tenants subject to a fine.
3 tickets will lead to eviction and a heavy
fine. This also covers any friends or visitors
to your home." They also said that no one
should be outside their home after 10pm,
unless going to or coming in from work.
My question is Can they really keep us
prisoner in our own homes? What if I go out
Saturday night and don't get in until 2am
Can they really fine/ticket me for that?
I pay my rent, without fail. How can they
govern our lives like this, and is there
any way to fight them on this matter?
