An unmarried couple recently bought a house together. The relationship is now over. The facts are: She sold her home to move with him and used the proceeds for downpayment and improvements to make the house livable and loanable: he was not working at the time the buying process began: She has been continually employed for a long time: She has 2 young children and he wants to just kick her out: He made a verbal statement to her that he understands she made the buying of the house possible and that he would leave, but now says she has to go:

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Both own home if both names on deed.

Each person's contribution (amount of) will entitle each person to a share/percentage of the home.

If she paid 30% of total home's worth, she is entitled to at least 30%.

To determine rights, it is best to have an accounting done by each side's lawyer. Almost like a divorce settlement type.
