The security deposit for my daughter's residence while she was a student was returned in full after she moved out. About 120 days after the move, she received a statement of damages with an amount due.

-- Did the contract end with the return of the deposit?

-- If not, what are the time limitations regarding assessing damages?

Contract reads:
"...security account...shall be held by [Landlord] for a periiod of time terminating with the earlier of the student's withdrawal from resident housing, or the conclusion of the student's enrollment. At the termination of this period of time, the amount remaining in the student's security account shall be returned to student less any assessments."
