I live in Troy New York. Twenty days ago I received a notice that our landlord has not paid the mortgage on the property we rent from her. It is now time to pay Novembers rent should I pay her. I contacted the attorneys that are handling the foreclosure on 11/03/00 and was told that the property is still in foreclosure. She called me last night to say that she will be over tonight 11/04/00 to collect Novembers rent can anyone advise me on how to procede? I cannot afford an attorney. Thanks George

You still need to pay your rent to L unless the foreclosure attorney gives you a letter in writing to pay the rent to them due to an assignment of rents clause in the landlords mortgage agreememt.
