What is the name of your state? north carolina

I live in a home that is accessed by an easement. It meets at Sandy Woods dr a state owned road. There is 15ft with 8 being used and within the 15ft I put a mailbox. My neighbor who bought the property that the easement is on pulled it up and through it in my yard. Is this legal or am I not allowed to have a mailbox?

**A: read your recorded easement agreement. If the purpose of the easement is strictly for ingress/egress, then the mailbox is not allowed.
