Hey,
I'm writing a story, I'm a college student and I need to get a good grade in my English class, and I've run into a problem with my plot. I can't seem to find out if it is illegal to impersonate a member of the press. I've looked everywhere and just can't find a site that will answer this for me.
So...does anyone know if it is illegal to claim to be a NBC reporter when you're not? What would the charge be? What could the punishment be if this is a crime? Jail time or just a fine? Would it be a felony or a misdemeanor? Any information at all would be greatly appreciated!!!
