What is the name of your state?Colorado
What is the best way to insure that my employees, if they ever leave my employment, do not take some of my customers with them?

Someone told me about non-compete forms. Is this a viable solution?

Any other realistic options?

There are several:
1) Treat your customers right and they won't leave in any case.
2) Never, EVER allow your employees to know who your customers are.
3) Chain your employers to their desks so that they can't leave.... and take your customers with them.
4) Accept the fact that there is no such thing as a totally 'protected' customer list.

Solution? Yes. Viable?? Depends.
In any case, to make a reasonable non-compete that will stand in court if needed, see a local attorney who can advise and draft one for you.
