A relative of mine was given power of attorney by her husband. They and a third party were on a quit claim deed.
A real estate salesman agreed to buy their property. It was
30 thousand below fair market. I informed the husband who
is incaracated this was not in his best interest, and also informed the real estate salesman and the title company.
The husband revoked the power of attorney and the origional
title company refused to handle the transaction. The salesman (purchaser) then went to another title company
and did not disclose any of this. The wife and the other party went thru with the closing. Any recourse against either the
real estate agent or the second title company? I think my
relative got taken advantage of due to his situation. Thanks in advance.
