What is the name of your state? RI
If you were given summons for speeding that requires appearence in court and at the time of the situation trooper gave you a balance test and let you back behind the wheel, can this turn in to anything else besides the speeding?

I'm guessing you're saying you were pulled over for speeding. The officer felt you may have been drinking so he did a few sobriety tests on you. You passed them so he let you drive away.

Now you think this is some sort of trap and when you arrive at the court they are going to smack you with a DUI.

No. If the officer felt you were drunk, you would have been arrested. Also by the sounds of it he didnt take a PBT so in other words there is no evidence that you were driving while intoxicated above the legal limit.

All based on what you said, unless there is more to it.
