What is the name of your state? Florida

I have a friend, who, because of her immigration status ..or lack there of, cannot renew her liscence, but has been driving anyway, renewing her insurance automatically ... now her insurance company has changed hands and the jig is up, so to speak and she's pressuring her sister to help her out ... She wants her sister to take out the insurance on the car ... putting the insurance in the sister's name ...

Anyway ... What can happen to them, legally if say the friend- Di - gets stopped for speeding and is discovered?

thanks for your help ...

She will be cited for driving without a valid license and depending on the wording of your state's insurance laws, driving without insurance. The bigger problem, and I mean much bigger problem is if she has and accident. Because she is driving on an expired license, the insurance company does not and will not honor the claim. This could lead to some serious trouble, up to and including deportation.
