Theft

You should be more concerned with getting your son some help that "What can he get out of this." He will probably be ordered to alcohol treatment. Shoplifting is a lesser crime for which he may be sentenced to "time served" if he spent several days in juvenile or jail. If not, he may be given probation (if this is a first offense). No one can predict what a judge will do. Put your son in AA.
