I was in an accident when another car, heading the opposite direction, turned left in front of me. A collision occurred. The police only asked the driver of the other car what happened, and as a result, I was ticketed with disobeying a red light. Had they asked me what happened, the other driver would have been ticketed for failure to yield. How can the other driver be listed as the witness on my ticket? Now I cannot get the other driver's insurance company to cover my damages. Please help.

My response:

And you didn't insist on giving your version of the facts because . . . . . .?

You are both witnesses, even though you are both the principals in the accident. The other driver is listed as a witness on your "ticket" because they chose to believe him/her over you. When it comes time for trial, that person will probably testify against you; provided, of course, you don't plead out the case. Find a witness who saw the accident. Look around. Ask at gas stations, check bus benches (people take the same route bus every day and at the same time), put up posters asking for witnesses to the accident.

Get an attorney.
