Hello,

Does anyone know if the Dallas Police can get a moving violation ticket (running a red light) outside their jurisdiction or city limits? I was completely in the city of Richardson, TX when I was pulled over by a City of Dallas officer.

Thanks

If the violation occurred within the city of Dallas, then yes they can. If it did NOT occur in Dallas, then it gets a little fuzzy. Even friends of mine that are cops in TX aren't certain if juridictional boundaries are policy prohibitions or legal ones.
