What is the name of your state? CALIFORNIA

I just went on SDI yesterday and contacted my employer as soon as I left the doctor's office. Today, my HR manager came by my house to drop off claim forms and the Director of HR called me at home to tell me I needed to call work every other Monday to check-in. Is this correct? How am I supposed to recover with the added stress of having to check-in and wondering if HR personnel are going to be coming to my house for random visits?

Thank you.

They should not be coming by your home ever.

Unless the people in Your HR dept. are doctors, "who even then would have to schedule a visit", what are they going to do?

You can tell them you will contact them some other way, and they should not come by your home. If only once, try to assume maybe they were concerned.

If at all possible tell them you will have someone come and pickup the forms, or use fedex, ups..
