I recently received a speeding ticket in East Brunswick, NJ. The officer who pulled me over said I was doing 62 in a 45..in NJ this is a four point ticket.

I would have no problem paying the ticket if I truly was speeding. When I questioned the officer on how he knew how fast I was going, he told me he "paced" me...meaning he followed behind me in his car, looked at his speedometer, and then guessed how fast I was going.

I have since pleaded not guilty to this ticket, but was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation, or if anyone knew any laws about this sort of ticket!

Thanks very much!
