What is the name of your state? Michigan

I did some looking around the past couple days because it is a recent question that has come up and i really want to know for sure (or as close as i can get) before i proceed with any part of the situation. From what i have found, all i seem to get is stuck at a page after a search with explains something close to what i want but not exactly. I assume that i do not know what to look for since i only know about law what i have learned in highschool and over the years of my life. I found the Michigan State Law for gambling related issues here but i don't know exactly what it all means in relation to my issue.

As for my issue, here goes: I have friends who at the college age, enjoy to gamble. They are all of legal gambling age in Michigan, as am i. Recently, they have gotten into sports betting amongst themselves. They quickly realized that they were not getting anything or losing anything outside the group and while for some that may seem good, they like the idea of being able to win (and lose) to outside individuals. That is where i mentioned online casinos which offer sports betting. Since i mentioned the idea and know the most about computers and the internet, after i explained how it worked to them, they got an idea which landed me in this position. I would handle all the money, placing the bets, dealing with the online casino(s) and finding the best odds till the last possible minute. Now, in the event that they would win a bet, they would give me a monetary compensation, a percentage of the winnings. If they lose, i get nothing for no other reason than they lost money and don't want to pay. I added up what they usually toss around in a week and looked at some recent event odds.

To me it sounds good because i would make a decent amount for my time, otherwise i wouldn't even be here asking. They will be making the full decision on what event and who wins themselves so i am questioning whether i would be considered as taking bets or just a medium for the bets to get between the casino(s) and them. I make no decision about what is done with the betting of the money, only which establishment it is wagered at based on the best "deal" in the listed odds. The money they wish to wager would be sent to my account electronically before the wager. After all the money was sent to my account, i would place one full wager at the casino electronically under an account i would have registered with the casino. After the outcome, if there was a loss, nothing would happen. If there was a win, the casino would send the money back to my account, and from there i would send the money to their accounts, or just hand them the cash/check (depending on how they wanted to handle it). Considering how the money wagered is being handled and gambled i am left with a huge question mark. I am not creating odds, accepting bets against each other, running a game being gambled on, or putting the bets up against my own money (covering the bets like a bookie i believe does).

All the gambling is done through legal gambling "houses" by people of legal age to gamble. It is all just being funneled through me. I assume it could be compared to them all handing me the money and taking it to a local casino, and placing all the money on red or black at the roulette wheel, depending on what they chose, not what color i chose. Thank you ahead of time for reading through this and another thanks to anyone who can help me figure out whether it is legal, illegal, or one of those up-in-the-air things where i could get in trouble but it would be up to the lawyers and interpretation of the law by the judge. I hope i can do this legally, or at least not illegally because it is a decent monetary opportunity for me. If not, then oh well, i guess the normal salary will be ok without some extra cash from friends without enough things to spend money on.

If you're here questioning the legality of it all, I don't think I'd do it. Even though the others enjoy losing to outside individuals, you can bet that isn't going to last long!

Hope this post is ok, it's my first and I know NOTHING about gambling laws...I do know that Mt. Pleasant is filled (well, they're probably gone now) with college students that have gambled away their tuition money.
