What is the name of your state? Calif.

Is there a statute of limitation for restitution in federal gov. cases. I have been paying the US Department of justice for ten years on a judgment for $270,000.00, (restitution to the US Navy). I'm 61 years old and want to retire in a few years. I have no assets.

-How on earth do you owe the Navy $270,000.00?

Was the case civil or criminal?

If you quit paying I'm pretty sure they will start garnishing any income you have coming in.
