I was on vacation in Fl. I hurt my left foot while checking out of my room. It was 5am and the lights were out, I could not see as I was decending the steps, I missed the last step and injured my left foot.
Florida is a no fault state and I live in NJ. Should I deal with the vacation property's insurance co. or contact a lawyer?

You should do neither. This is your fault for not being more careful.
