What is the name of your state?michigan. My boyfriend and I bought a house together, I borrowed the down payment from my mom. We are now breaking up, the house is in my moms name and landcontracted to me. I want to give the downpayment back to my mom from the money we make when we sell. Am I allowed to do that and then split the extra or do we go 50-50 and I have to pay her? We have had the house for 4 years. Please advise.

It doesn't appear that your boyfriend has any ownership interest in the home.
Therefore, technically its your property and you can do what you like.

Thanks, I want to be fair to him, but I want my moms money to come off the top. It was 10,000. I don't hate him, I just cant stand living with him anymore.
