What is the name of your state?CA - married in Vegas
I have a good friend that married a woman from Costa Rica. Several months after he married her, he purchased property in Costa Rica. He put her name on the title. He paid cash for the property, draining his savings account. A few months after that he found out that she was still married to a man from Costa Rica. From what I understand she is guilty of bigamy; and the marriage can be anulled. If the marriage is anulled, is the property still considered community property? Is she entitled to 50% of the value of the property?
