I learned from a relative of mine, that during a small claims hearing that they were involved with (and in which I was not a party) - the other party made a slanderous statement about me. It was not said in response to any matter or question in the case - they were just venting anger.
As they were the other party involved, I imagine that they were sworn in at the time. Do I have the right to pursue action against them?
