What is the name of your state?CA

Ive looked thru the posts here [search] and havent found this topic answered:

I live in CA, and have had my CA tax accountant help me start a C corporation in FLorida per request of a Florida company that doesnt want to hire me as only an independent Contrator...

This accountant told me to assume Im a FLorida resident, and "on the job long term" in CA [ to say Im not a resident in CA], having all forms of payment [pay checks] sent to FL, even if the work is done in CA... and put into a FL bank account.
IS this legit, or honest, or possible, or legal?
