What is the name of your state? I'm in Los Angeles, CA. Heavy spring rains caused the roof in our bedroom to leak in our rented house. Ceiling is stained and a few months have passed and both of us are experiencing congestion and headaches. This has been going on for awhile and we just realized it could be mold. Is our landlord obligated to handle the problem? Thanks for the help.

Keep it in writing!

Okla- Yes. Submit a written work order. Hopefully the problem will be fixed along with your allergies. A landlord can't fix what he is not aware of being wrong.
