What is the name of your state? NY
I have a substantial amount in an UGMA account that was not transferred to my name at 21. I'm now a lot older than that.
I want to ensure that my wife is taken care of should I ever be sued.
What is a good legal mechanism to effect a transfer to her or otherwise protect this nut from legal mischance? Incorporation is not enough of a shield to avoid being wiped out in this litigious day and age.
Thoughts please.
