What is the name of your state?Georgia. I received a cancellation letter since my mother passed away. They state the renew will be denied due to fact house is vacant. I tried speaking to a supervisor and was told their decision is final. I must now purchase a vacant house policy which is 4 times higher and only for a 3mos period. Can they legally cancel coverage while her estate is still in probate?

I am sorry about your mother.

If you read her policy, it will say that houses vacant more than 30 days are not covered. They can cancel coverage because the house is vacant...it doesn't matter to them that the estate is in probate.
