What is the name of your state? nh. my son-law was injured on the job a couple of years ago, he had his shoulder pulled out. he has two operations.
he was put on light duty at his job each time. last year they let him go saying that his position is no longer needed and we have nothing else for you.
(in the mean time since they have hired someone else for that job).
he did the run around with wc and doc. and they decided that his injury is only worth $4,000. they told him that he still has him arm and he can still use it. so he signed papers. has not recieved his money yet, now his shoulder is all screwed up again and may need another operation. he is in pain everyday.
is wc still liable for this injury even though he signed off on it. can he put in a new claim to increase his settlement. ps the injury occured in vermont.

If you son signed papers releasing the w/c carrier from any further liablility, then the case is forever closed. Your son will have to obtain another job that has medical benefits. After a year, the pre-existing condition is covered.
