Quit Claim Deed

What is the name of your state? Kentucky

Do you need a lawyer in order to prepare a Quit Claim Deed in Kentucky? I talked to the lady at the courthouse, whom of course cannot give legal advise, & she did mention that it needed to contain the consideration clause, reference to divorce decree (which is why this is being done), valuation amount & of course, legal description & reference to KRS 382. This was all she was able to "mention" She said the Kentucky Legislature had changed some things, but couldn't really tell me what. They had a pamphlet on how to prepare one, but just couldn't seem to find one while I was there.

Is there a blanket form that I can find in order to prepare one on my own instead of paying someone $50 per deed (2 involved)

Also, there is a mobile home involved as well, how would you go about "quit claiming" (I guess would be the term) the title to the home?

versus

Free and it's not done right, you (or the benefactor of the deeds) loses their claim on the property and must hire a real estate attorney (approx. $250 to $500 an hour) to defend their rights.

Yep, $100 is WAAAAY too high a price to pay.

Mobile homes ususally have a title and are handled like vehicles.
