What is the name of your state ? michigan I signed an agreement to buy 5 acres of wooded propery with a good faith deposit and was accepted and signed by seller. Four weeks later I inspected the property with realter before closing and found that timber was cut and removed from property. I have before and after photos to prove it. I believe I can back out with no problem, but I would like to know If I decided to still buy the property can I be compensated for the lost timber.

It all depends on the wording of your contract. Take it to a local real estate attorney for review along with your photos.
