What is the name of your state? Illinois. My question is, is it legal to record a conversation between me and my supervisor or manager at work, during a regular shift meeting or a private meeting between me and him or her?

Nope. And if you had performed a search of this site you would have found the answer for yourself.

No. In Illinois all parties to a conversation must have knowledge of and agree to taping.

Even if it were legal, that doesn 't mean you couldn't be disciplined or fired for recording without permission. The company doesn't have to agree to it even if the law does.
