What is the name of your state?Alabama
Work Guidelines do not accomodate non work related injuries, or illness, and does not provide light duty. Pregnant female sent home because of lifting restriction, company handling disability claims for company, told female associate they are terminating her benefits because doctor said she is fine, but doctor did state associate cannot lift over 20 lbs. Employer willnot allow associate to work on line with any restrictions, states that associates, as long as meets employment criteria, can draw short term disability.
Company still denying her claim. What can she do?

This is certainly not a workers comp issue. Refer to your STD policy to learn if the situation qualifies under the plans definition of disability. Some plans include up to 6 weeks for maternity leave. This is a carrier/policy issue, not an employer issue.
